How many Raphael Orloves can fit in it? (Dead or alive)
If a Toyota minivan falls in the forest and nobody is around to hear it, does it make a noise?

Because it’s pickled and is shaped like a dick-le.
9 alive, dead depends on how the dismemberment process occurs.
Indeed it does. Like a cross between Tourettes Guy, a crying baby, and a wet fart.
Absolutely.

Not that much. The 3.5 is only 0.3 of a second faster to 60 than the 3.3.

215 is more than adequate. The 3.3 drives like a big Toyota Echo, although that’s probably because the bushings are shot.

An ultra-high-trim minivan or executive sedan equivalent?
Are you old enough and married to the point where you think as weird as a van is, that it’s the best for people with more than one child?
Do you think I should do my essay tonight or tomorrow? I have a test at 9:30AM and my essay is due at 3:30PM.

High trim minivan. Have you seen a loaded 2015 Sedona? Shit’s dope, yo.

Haha, I wasn’t saying it wasn’t. In fact the biggest push for Toyota in getting the 3.5 into everything was with the sludge issues (not that the 3.3 was bad for them, just the image of “It’s a whole new engine!”)
7.8 to 60 is nothing to sneeze at. My parents have the 3.3L in their Solara, it’s a strong, but decently quiet mill.

Hard to say, Toyota was pretty secretive about the real numbers. It was often significant neglect that was the issue, but the oil lines are wider in the 3.5L than the 3.3 for that reason.
I know people with 260k+ miles on 3.3L and are not good about maintaining the car.

If the oil is changed regularly, it should be fine, right? Now, to see if changing the fluid will fix the slipping transmission.

There’s a TSB for the 5-speed, sharpens up the shifting, ask about it.
And yeah, changing the oil and proper care means you should have little to worry about. Also for the people that did have the sludge issues, Toyota addressed it, at least for our customers. I wouldn’t be concerned.

It’s more that you can sense the clutches slipping off the line when you smoothly tip into it. I’ll try changing the fluid and going synthetic.

Do you enjoy having zero steering feel or weighting? Have you tried to neutral drop it only to realize that Toyota accounted for people like you doing mischievous things?
G_Body_Man: Sponsored by the number 3

The steering has more feel and is better weighted than the steering of a 2013 Sonata, so that’s a plus. As for neutral drops, I don’t want to ruin the transmission.

Sedona? In Japan, high level execs get things like Elgrands and Vellfires that have S-Class worthy rear seats but with more leg and head room, not to mention they wear names that are much more interesting than any German sedan...
Elgrand^
Vellfire^
Anyways, minivan is always best kid hauler. I’d like to see you try and get eight people into a Highlander with room to spare with cupholders and sunvisors for everyone, not to mention returning around 18-20 mpg.
